YOU DON'T HAVE TO GO IT ALONE!

CARES is here for YOU!
If you have recently been diagnosed with HIV, the best advice we can give you is to visit the CARES office, introduce yourself, and ask for help. CARES helps people with HIV connect with the information and resources they need. They offer a wide area of services for those affected and their families. The staff at CARES has answers to questions you don't even know to ask! And they know of benefits you may be entitled too that you didn't even know existed.
No matter what it is, don't be afraid to ask the volunteers at CARES for help. Call CARES at 471-5277 or better yet stop by our office at 2054 Dauphin Street in Mobile, Alabama.

Positive Perspectives
An educational, support group meeting on the 2nd Thursday of each month, for People Living with HIV/AIDS. Dinner will be served. Call the CARES office for meeting topics and locations.

Condoms Work!

The condom makes sex safer. It protects both partners!

A 1993 study showed that using condoms every time prevented HIV transmission for all but two of 171 women who had male partners with HIV. However, eight out of ten women whose partners didn't use condoms became infected.
